About
PlantingSeeds: people, pollinators, plants
PlantingSeeds creates urban corridors of learning and regeneration.

We plant seeds - of plants and trees and environmental learnings - in Australian cities, suburbs and towns. This supports biodiversity, helps to counter urban heat, and supports stewardship.
Our award-winning programs developed with leading educational and scientific institutions offer evidence-based resources and learnings.
Students of all ages are empowered by our educational incursions and outside activities.
Working in cities, towns and suburbs

We focus on urban conservation which is often overlooked.
PlantingSeeds is proud of our work to protect and enhance nature – plants and animals – in cities, towns and suburbs.
Many threatened species – plants and animals – live in cities, suburbs and towns and urban greenery cools our built-up areas experiencing heat waves intensified through climate change.
Caring for Country and honouring Aboriginal wisdoms are key to this mission of stewardship.
Through our flagship B&B Highway program, participants learn about:
- Native plants and pollinators
- What to plant
- How to practise and support citizen science
- How to create habitats for native animals
- How green infrastructure takes the heat out of summer scorchers
- Links between biodiversity, health and food, and
- Connection to Country
Our enrichment programs, B&B Belongings, B’Cool and B&B Bites (insert links to Programs Overview) build on the success of our foundational B&B Highway program (insert B&B Highway page link).
Our foundational biodiversity program was developed with the NSW Department of Education for national application and our citizen science program is assisted by the Atlas of Living Australia (hosted by the CSIRO).
Support from local and other governmental funding, corporates and donations has enabled us to grow to a multi-State initiative.
Positive, practical and scalable
Our programs are popular with corporates seeking impactful and creative Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities and a supporting Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) framework.
PlantingSeeds is a registered charity and is endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) on the Register of Environmental Organisations (link to Annual Reports page)
