OOSH
The B&B Highway Outside School Hours Care Program implementation involves interactive learnings and hands-on activities which align with the My Time, Our Place Framework and can be adapted to all age groups, abilities and sites.
Learning, play and wellbeing
Immersive Activities in Nature
Our Program enhances numerous areas of learning, play and wellbeing aligning particularly with the Quality Area 3 (QA3) of the National Quality Standard (NQS) focusing on the physical environment. Learning about living things coupled with immersive activities in nature at the school/centre, such as planting a pollinator garden, supports ACECQA’s requirement for ‘inclusive, engaging environments that foster curiosity and sustainable practices, facilitating play-based learning, connection to nature, and the participation of all children’.

National learning framework
Aligning with the My Time, Our Place framework
Our B&B Highway OOSH Program aligns with the My Time, Our Place (MTOP) framework. This is Australia’s official national learning framework for Outside School Hours Care (OOSH). It guides educators who run before-school, after-school, and vacation care programs for school-age children aged 5 to 12 years.
Aligning with MTOP Key Concepts
1
Belonging: Connecting with family, community, and the school-age care setting.
2
Being: Enjoying the present time, relaxing, and engaging in play.
3
Becoming: Developing skills, interests, and identity to shape the future.

GROWING CAPABLE YOUNG PEOPLE
Aligning with MTOP Five Key Learning Outcomes
- Children have a strong sense of identity.
- Children are connected with and contribute to their world.
- Children have a strong sense of wellbeing.
- Children are confident and involved learners.
- Children are effective communicators.
