RAP Statement from PlantingSeeds’ CEO and Founder, Dr Judy Friedlander

PlantingSeeds is committed to developing deeper engagement with First Nations’ learnings about Country and importantly, to inspiring and educating young Australians with the wisdoms accrued over the millennium.
Our foundational B&B Highway program, in collaboration with the NSW Department of Education, Environment Education Victoria, the Atlas of Living Australia (hosted by CSIRO) and a number of leading universities, has always integrated trusted and evidence-based knowledge and practical activities into its initiatives.
The B&B Belongings enrichment program builds on the successful foundational B&B Highway and we are thrilled to work with respected Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations to ensure teachings and resources are aligned with First Nations’ wisdoms and learnings.
PlantingSeeds recognises that a First Nations’ educational and practical program requires authentic and professional collaborations and our new Belongings program has been developed with these precepts in mind. B&B Belongings is a true enrichment of our regenerative and educational program now in four states and hundreds of locations.
Appreciation of native and endemic flora and fauna must incorporate First Nations’ wisdom and knowledge. Thousands of years of engagement with Country is precious and PlantingSeeds, together with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations, is determined to respectfully acknowledge and help engage Australians with these learnings.
